Canelo Alvarez the biggest name in boxing and the consensus pound for pound number 1 has officially joined Sheikh Turki Alalshikh and the Season of Riyadh for what could be the final 4 fights of the historic mexican’s boxing career. Canelo who is originally from Guadalajara Mexico is the biggest star in boxing and this power move by Sheikh Turki places Canelo with 3 of the 4 fights being held in Saudi Arabia.
According to Ring Magazine, Canelo will fight in Riyadh in 2025 and 2026 instead of his typical territory of the USA. Canelo’s annual Cinco De Mayo performance is expected to be held in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.
With the 4 fight deal fans are expecting the Terence Crawford megafight to take place September in Las Vegas with the final 2 fights in 2026 being held in Saudi Arabia. While Canelo had been linked to a possible Jake Paul NetFlix fight, it appears that is no longer an option. Canelo is expected to possibly rematch Dmitry Bivol, or face hannah Sheeraz or possibly Chris Eubank Jr as options for his remaining fights`
