Despite a victory in Sioux Falls PFL 6 over Don Madge, Neiman Gracie sees himself on the outside looking in with regards to a shot of the million dollar playoffs. While both Don and Neiman finished the regular season with 1-1 records, based on the point scoring Madge faced Brennan Ward who went 0-2 scoring a first round submission while Neiman battled Goiti Yamauchi and lost a decision in his first tournament bout.
Madge who lost all 3 rounds on the score cards against Gracie revealed that a pre fight injury may have limited his ability to preform at the best of his abilities, indicating a rib injury had a significant affect on his performance. Gracie who is a World Champion in BJJ controlled the fight with multiple takedowns and heavy top position.
While Madge made a good showing for himself in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu exchanges during the fight he will need to showcase improved takedown defense as he gets set to enter the semi finals and finals of the PFL Million Dollar Tournament as he will face Magomed Umalatov and if he wins will advance to face te winner fo Shamil Musaev X Murad Ramazanov.
