UFC was back in the Apex in Las Vegas for the 240th edition of the UFC Fight Night. With the last minute withdrawal of Marvin Vettori the event had short notice Chris Curtis step into the bout in just two week notice having not been in camp for any competitions. The bout which took place over 5 rounds ended in a split decision which was very close and saw Curtis suffer a torn hamstring at the conclusion of the bout.
The co Main event also featured a split decision as Damon Jackson picked up the catchweight 148lbs victory over Alexander Hernandez. Jose Mariscal earned a decision over Morgan Charriere by Split as well giving the final 3 fights of the night all Split decision victories as method of win. The highlight of the night was Ignacio Bahamondes Ko head kick victory over Christos Giagos. 5 consecutive decisions including the upset victory of Norma Dumont over former UFC Champion Germained De Randamie GDR.
UFC FN 240 is the final event before UFC 300 where Holly Holm will face Kayla Harrison. Cyborg was a part of Holly Holm’s training camp for Judo Kayla while she was in the training for her own boxing fight upcoming April 27th in Green Bay Wisconsin.
